Hello everyone, and thank you for coming, especially to such a remote location. Last double-moon, I spoke for a long time about each of the gods, and how I find inspiration in their domains even as someone of a different faith. I'm going to speak a little bit more personally this sun if you'll indulge me.

Some of you know may know that I have a sister. What you may not know is that we are twins.

While our Aisling Sparks came to us at slightly different times, we share the same Mundane birth, right here in Suomi in the third Deoch.

There is something unique and special about the relationship between twins. I think often people make associations with the obvious similarities we have. We're the same height, have the same hair color, and look alike. I've even heard of twins who are so similar that they can impersonate the other and "swap places" with them, so to speak.

However, we are of course distinct people like anyone else, and a testament to Deoch's spark and our autonomy as Aislings. She is indeed an Acolyte of our faith, but unlike me who you will see at the Shrine nearly every sun, she rarely comes by. Too busy with her other adventures. Too busy to cut her hair, even, it seems *giggles* but I digress.

I remember many moons ago, sitting by the hearth and appreciating the warmth; reading and writing while the gentle patter of raindrops echoed from the roof and walls. I remember feeling wistful as I looked out the window at the rain... I saw in that fire and each of those droplets a reminder of the awesome power of the elements. Every crack of thunder made me happy to be inside, dry and warm.

Then eventually the door would swing open and in would step my sister. A sopping face-covering would be unceremoniously unwrapped and dropped to the floor with a dull splat. She was soaked from head to toe, dripping wet but always with the biggest grin on her face. Once she had removed her soggy armaments, we'd sit together next to the fire, and with the utmost excitement, she would tell me about her adventures, and the people who she met. The rain never bothered her the way it did me, and through her I learnt to appreciate it myself eventually.

To this day, I am deeply inspired by my sister and her adventurous spirit. In fact, it's part of the reason I am where I am today. I spent over 150 deochs in the second circle of insight, with no interest at all in hunting and questing and mastering my class. I dedicated myself to the faith, and to reading. That part hasn't changed, but I've expanded my horizons since, and that is in a large part thanks to her.

I shared this story with our friend Medas when we were discussing the class she gave several double-moons back, because I appreciated her message about finding meaning and value in the little things. The conversations, the walks, the fairs and games, Suomi Troupe events...It rang so true to me because I've experienced it first-hand. We can feel the light of Deoch's inspiration in so many places, and the many branching roads it can lead us down is something to feel blessed for.

So as we wrap up, I'm sure some of you are wondering: Why are we here? Why did you make me ride a raft to a remote farm on an island to listen to you talk about your family? All fair questions. This is my sister's favorite place in all of Temuair. Many deochs ago, it used to rain here all of the time. I hated it. But oftentimes when she would be out in the rain on those stormy nights, she *would* have come here. Dragging some poor soul through the forest to the steps of the manor. It wasn't until she dragged me along that I learnt how to see it through her eyes, and it became one of my favorite places as well.

It never seems to rain here anymore, but... the memories and the relationships we foster will grant us a never-ending font of inspiration if we embrace it.

*bows head*

Mass is cast.
